Tammie was born and raised in Arizona and thanks to the military has done some traveling. Her husband, Frank, retired from the Air Force after being stationed in Georgia at which point they decided that Georgia was a happy medium. With Frank being from Wisconsin, she wouldn’t insist on living in the desert, if he didn’t insist on living where it snowed.
They purchased the house of their dreams, a 160 year old plantation house and have worked diligently to restore it to its original beauty. With horses, chickens, peafowl and cats, they spend their days working at the Air Force base and their nights and weekends ministering through music.
Tammie accepted Christ as her Savior as a young girl and knows that God has never been far from her side, even though she walked with the world through her 20’s. She was in her 30’s when the Father tapped her on the shoulder and asked her where she’d been. She rededicated her life and has never turned back.
She has always been a singer, but never felt the pull to sing gospel music. That is, until God got a hold of her, some 9 years ago. He had gently nudged her over the years to participate in church choirs and such, but it wasn’t until that fateful day, that God shoved her. She heard the words, “I gave you that voice, now you will use it for Me.” When asked to sing a solo in church, she tried desperately to get out of it, until she heard Him. She prayed, “Lord, if this is truly the direction you want me to go in, You will need to be there to hold my hand, every time I step behind a mic.” She says, to this day, He has never let go.
Now, Tammie feels extremely blessed that God is using her to further the growth of His kingdom. Not a calling taken lightly, she dedicates herself to this ministry. To spread the Word of God through song and testimony.
